Q: How often do I have to change the battery of a quartz watch?
A: Usually a watch battery lasts two years.
For a chronograph watch, the battery life may last only year or less depending on the frequency of the chronograph  function use. (Refer to manufacturer’s instructions for      special movements.)

Tip: You should always replace your old battery immediately, as the movement can be damaged by the leaking battery

Q: How do I take care of my water-resistant watch?
A: You should have the watch serviced regularly and change the seals often, especially if you use the watch underwater regularly. (This should be done every two years or every time the watch is opened for non-screw  back case watches.) Also make sure the crown is fully locked in position when under water and the push buttons are not pressed. Always clean the watch with clean water after being exposed to salt water or chlorinated water.
Q: How do I keep my watch work accurately?
A: Do not leave the watch in extreme high or low temperature for along time. Keep your watch away from close contact with magnetic objects that generate strong magnetic fields.

Q: Does an automatic movement work as soon as I wear the watch?
A: You should wind the watch manually if the watch has stopped completely. This will give better power to help watch work accurately.

Q: How do I safely change the date function of a watch?

A: The instructions are usually supplied with the watch, but most simple date function can be set by following these procedures.

    • Pull out the crown to the fully extended position and set the time to be not between 8 PM. and 4 AM.
(If the date is set during this period when the wheels might be engaged, the watch could be damaged.)
    • Push the crown back to the half-extended position, adjust the date to the day before.
    • Pull out the crown to the fully extended position again and turn the hands until midnight when date required
is shown, then set the required time. (This will ensure that the date changes at midnight, not midday.)
    • Push the crown back to the normal position.
For watches with more complicated functions, it is best to follow instructions given by the manufacturer.

Q: What should I do if I accidentally submerge my wristwatch in water?

A: If your watch is not water-resistant, you should take your watch for service to prevent water condensation or
    damage to the movement.

Q: I have recently gained weight and the bracelet of my wristwatch is now too tight. Is there a possibility to elongate my bracelet?

A: If the watch has extendable links, you can bring the extra links to the service center where it can be fixed easily. But if the bracelet does not have extendable links, the service     center can have the bracelet extended bya professional goldsmith.

Q: Can I wear my water-resistant watch with leather strap in water?

A: Although the watch is water-resistant, most leather straps are not. Therefore, they will deteriorate rather quickly if used in water. However, there are straps intended for
     diving or water sports available.

Q: How many types of watch movements are there?

A: There are three basic watch movements
    • Quartz movement – uses energy from the battery
    • Manual winding movement – needs regular manual winding
    • Automatic or self-winding movement – start by manual winding and able to wind itself when in motion
